Couples and Family Therapy

Family dynamics are complex and nuanced. The most difficult part of navigating family dynamics is the diversity of perspectives. Families often seek my professional help because they feel as if they are speaking different languages. Family members can feel alone and invalidated, which in turn intensifies the painful emotions. My role is to untangle the misperceptions, diffuse the power struggles, and uncover vulnerabilities that are blocking compassion. I have worked with family members of all ages to strengthen connection and improve communication. I conceptualize my clients’ struggles through a Family Systems Theory lens. My Master’s Degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy, which makes me specifically trained to help families and couples.

I have also completed Intensive Training in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), which is a model of Couples Therapy that breaks down emotions and works to heal attachment wounds that disconnect couples. I have found this model of Couples Therapy to be very effective in addressing the root issues to strengthen connection.
